[edit] Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you'd like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines outline some things to include.
- Interested in working on a more complete article? The military history peer review and collaboration departments would welcome your help!
- Want to help with specific requests for assistance? Our requests page has extensive lists of requested articles, images, maps, and translations.
- Interested in a particular area of military history? We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, or periods.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill Lokshin 09:19, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 04:31, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chesty Puller
You recently made an edit to the Chesty Puller article, with the edit summary "Adding a setence back in." However, you actually deleted that chant and retained an older version of the salute story — with the {{fact}} tag on it. Your edit summary did not indicate the reason for removing the chant. The previous version had a reference for that item. Is there a reason that you returned the fact tag? — ERcheck (talk) 01:31, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry if I screwed up the edit, I was reverting a an edit someone made that took out a rather large chunk. I didn't add the chant back in because I thought it looked odd in an article, didn't notice a {{fact}} tag on there, my bad! Put it all back if you want though. It matters not.
