The Geelong News is a local free weekly newspaper delivered to houses in the Geelong area. It is published on Wednesdays with a circulation of over 70,000 copies. It covers local community issues and sport. It has separate sections for different parts of Geelong. It started out as a very small newspaper ran by one man, and was only distributed in the Belmont area. It has now grown to cover most of Geelong. It is a division of the Geelong Advertiser.
