CT scanners GE's LightSpeed CT scanners have been shown to cause terminal cancer in 1 out of 1200 patients exposed to the defective instrument. Two GE employees, Steven Schnurer and Brian Skrade, have been indicted for 2 and 3 felony counts, respectively, of providing false information to the FDA, by falsifying the data regarding chronic overexposure of x-rays caused by these LightSpeed scanners.
