Gavin O'Brien was born on 22nd July 1986, in Luton, Bedfordshire and is now a DJ, Presenter, Promotor and Teacher.
Gavin O'Brien, 20, is forging a career in the media for himself after experience of radio presenting at Chiltern FM, and many stints in TV companies such as CBBC, Atit, Leopard, Big Game TV and Monkey Kingdom, helping on programmes such as the Charlotte Church show, Cash in the Attic, B&B My Guest and the Hallmark Channel Quiz.
At 17 Gavin decided to start looking for jobs in his local media, and got the lucky break after a chance e-mail to his local radio station 97.6 Chiltern FM, part of the country's largest radio network, GCAP. After helping out with all the promotions and getting involved in over 150 links, and presenting, Gavin decided to share the time with modelling work and promotions, and as such has done various modelling stints, for Loreal, Travel Inn, Ocean Spray, Ford and Flora.
But Gavin wanted to get into TV and after helping out as a Runner on B&B My Guest for Leopard Films, he also was a stand-in for The Charlotte Church Show, as well as being a Runner on Atit, on the shoot of Popworld and T4, he then acted as assistant producer for a time on Big Game TV, one of the countries largest quiz channels, gaining experience in editing, camerawork, and live TV in general. He has also presented various pilots for CBBC as well as Endemol, which have been coupled with is time at university.
Added to this Gavin, is a professional DJ and has played his music, in many big chains as well as some smaller ones, including The Whitehouse, a JD Wetherspoons public house, Jumpin' Jaks, a Luminar countrywide chain, as well as the Rodeo Bar in MK and currently Buck Wilds, in which he is gaining rave reviews. He also does mobile discos and goes under the name of DJ PVA.
In his spare time Gavin likes to teach kids the joys of drama, and spends time involved with Great Shakes, which puts on workshops for kids, who have never tried drama before, going on to produce a whole play, including dancing and acting.
With Gavin currently having one year left at university he is manouvering into a position to gain another TV presenting job, as he moves onto becoming better and better known.
