Gavin Peacock

Gavin Peacock (born 18 November 1967 in Eltham, London) is a former English professional football player who played as a midfielder.

Peacock started his career at Queens Park Rangers. He played for Gillingham, A.F.C. Bournemouth and Newcastle United in the lower leagues before he moved to Premiership side Chelsea in 1993. The manager who brought him to Gillingham was his father Keith.

Peacock later returned to Queens Park Rangers in 1996, where he stayed until he retired from football in 2002. During this spell he made a cameo appearance in the Premiership in 2001 after going on loan to Charlton Athletic in 2001.

After retiring, Peacock has worked with the BBC and frequently appears as a pundit on Match of the Day 2. He is also known to be a born again Christian.
