Gauranga dasa (RNS)

Gauranga dasa is a Vice-President and senior brahmachari monk of the Radha Gopinath temple run by ISKCON in Chowpatty, Mumbai, India. He regularly hosts a television show called Aatma. The show gives daily lectures on the Bhagavad Gita on Star Plus, broadcasted to millions of viewers worldwide. He is known for his light-hearted but deep presentations based on Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy.

As part of a rehabilitation programme at Yerawada Prison House in Pune, he was invited to give a lecture on the Bhagavad Gita. Some of the prisoners have been inspired to translate the Gita into braille for the benefit of the blind. He has also regularly helped students in their spiritual practice by performing deity installation ceremonies at their Student Hostels. At a 1998 Chowpatty yoga retreat, he also gave two lectures entitled 'Does celibacy make sense?'
