The article "Gatanela" is good. But it needs expanding and the reason why the name is becoming an extinct family name, so unlike the many Filipion family names. (Ibarra Benedicto).

Yes, what happened to the people in the Philippines who had that family name "Gatanela"? Why many people with family names like Santos, de la Cruz, Reyes, Villanueva, are growing in numbers? Why is the family names like Quezon, Quirino, and also Bonifacio and Mabini few and far between?
