Gatcha gacha is a manga by Yutaka Tachibana. The manga was released in English by Tokyopop on March 7, 2006. The underlying premise is that high school is hard for Yuri Muroi, the heroine of Gatcha Gacha.

Yuri's just got her 13th breakup after the 12th time she's been cheated on by 11 different guys. To the majority of the male student body, she's easy, to be used and disposed of, with no regard for consequence as she's a too nice of a girl. When she first meets bad-boy/play-boy Takahiro Yabe, she begins to think he might be the One. Sadly, Yabe decided he will only date Motoko Kagurazaka seriously. Motoko a sadistic game-player who is also the most popular girl in school who might be Yuri's greatest ally, or her worst enemy, on her mission to catch Yabe's heart. Motoko is not interested in Yabe, at least not on the surface.
Not that Yuri is without suitors of her own, including Sho Hirao, the student body president. Hiro has no luck talking to girls as he always doesn't know how to react or what to say while talking to girls he usually says the wrong things that caused the girls to run away crying. He is inlove with Yuri as she never run away when he say harsh words to her. He oftens gets caught staring at Yuri.

- Yuri Muroi is the heroine of Gatcha gacha. She has considerable experience in her past relationships. Yuri is like a mother due to her mother's early death. She takes care of her twin brothers.
- Motoko Kagurazaka is the most beautiful, mysterious, and popular girl in the fictional school of Gatcha gacha. Though she is beautiful, her personality is is the total opposite. She enjoys fist fights (almost beating people to death), extortion, and threatening people. She basically acts like a Yakuza. Even though she has all these bad traits, she has her redeeming qualities. She is faithful to her friends and also has a keen sense of justice. When she does something for the good of a friend, she denies it wholeheartedly.
- Takahiro Yabe is the school bad boy or playboy of the fictional school in Gatcha gacha. He used to be a kendo champion, but he quit a few years ago due to some reasons. He is often chased by girls after getting caught cheating on them.
- Sho Hiro is the president of the school in Gatcha gacha. Though he is popular, he is never popular with girls. He always says the wrong things to girls, especially when they try to confess their feelings.
