Gaston Taument

Gaston Taument (born October 1, 1970 in Den Haag, Zuid-Holland) is a former football winger from The Netherlands, who earned fifteen caps for the Netherlands national football team, in which he scored twice. He was a member of the Dutch team at the 1994 FIFA World Cup – where he scored Holland's winning goal in their first game against Saudi Arabia (2-1) – and at Euro 1996.

Taument made his debut for Holland on February 12, 1992, in a friendly against Portugal (2-0) in the Estadio São Luis. He played for Feyenoord Rotterdam (1988-97), SL Benfica (1997), RSC Anderlecht (1998-99), OFI Kreta (1999-2000), and finally for SK Rapid Wien (2000-02). He was named Holland's Talent of the Year in 1991.
