Gaston Gallimard

Gaston Gallimard (1881-1975) was a French publisher.
He was born on 18 January 1881 and died on 25 December 1975.
He founded La Nouvelle Revue Française in 1908, together with André Gide and Jean Schlumberger.
In 1911 the trio established La Nouvelle Revue Française–Librairie Gallimard which became just Librairie Gallimard from 1919 onwards. Gallimard is one of the leading French publishing houses.
