In Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Legacy series, Gaspar Trevalion is the Comte de Fourcay, kinsman to Marc, and a great friend of Anafiel Delaunay. Gaspar has grey-streaked hair, and informs Anafiel about the political machinations of Lyonette de Trevalion.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

When the treasonous plots of Lyonette and her son Baudoin are exposed, Gaspar fears that he will be implicated, as a member of the family. Delaunay comes to his aid, testifying on his behalf, and Gaspar is absolved of any wrongdoing.
