[edit] Biography
According to Spivey's website, he became aware of his psychic abilities at the age of three. He got his start making semi-comical appearances on The Ron and Ron Show, a syndicated radio morning show based out of Florida, and appearances on TV programs such as the Jerry Springer Show. He then progressed to telemarketing and late-night infomercials, where he made his mark in pop culture awareness.
Spivey was briefly featured in professional wrestling's World Championship Wrestling promotion in the 1990s. He had a brief role in some sketches featuring wrestler "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff.
In recent years, Spivey's approach has been slightly less silly and somewhat more seriously spiritual, with the publication of his book Your Keys to Heaven and his opening of a spiritual retreat in Ojai, California. However, he still maintains his 1-800 number offering ten-minute psychic readings for a fee.
On his website, Spivey claims numerous supernatural powers, including being able to visit other dimensions, speak with the dead, channel spirits through his own body, foretell the future, communicate with angels, and to perform faith healing.
