Gary Phillips is retired goalkeeper now working as reserve team manager at League Two side Barnet FC. Phillips spent the majority of his playing days at Underhill with Barnet, taking over as manager prior to the start of the 1993-94 season, before being replaced by Ray Clemence. Phillips, whose physical appearance has earned him the fan nickname of 'Sumo', is a very popular, and to some, legendary, figure at Underhill.
