Gary Lewin (born May 16, 1964 in East Ham, London) is the head physiotherapist for Arsenal F.C. and a first-team physio for the England national football team.
He came to Arsenal as a young goalkeeper aged only 16, and became reserve-team physio at the extraordinarily young age of 19. After a one year spell at Barnet F.C. as a player, by 1986 at the age of 22, he was a full-time first-team physio. He has served as physio for over 1,000 games (having reached that milestone in December 2004).
A Chartered Physiotherapist, he trained at Guy's Hospital School of Physiotherapy from 1983 to 1986. He has a BSc (hons) in Biology, a Diploma in Physiotherapy, a Member of the College of Sports Physiotherapists, and is a State Registered Physiotherapist. He has become an expert on hamstring injuries, due to his experiences with Tony Adams, and even advised Birmingham City's physio's on the treatment of oft-injured midfielder David Dunn.
