Gary LeVox, born Gary Wayne Vernon, Jr. on July 10, 1970, in Columbus, Ohio. He is the lead vocalist in the band Rascal Flatts. Gary is second cousins with Rascal Flatts bandmate Jay DeMarcus. Gary graduated from Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio in 1988. Gary worked at the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and moved to Nashville in 1997 after many months of prodding and phone calls from cousin Jay. Soon afterwards he met his wife Tara Richardson, whom he married on May 15 1999. They now have two children, Brittany Kay Vernon (Aug 26th 2000) and Brooklyn Leigh Vernon (March 21 2004).
