Gary Holt (musician)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gary Wayne Holt (born May 4, 1964 in Richmond, California) is an American guitarist from San Francisco, California. He co-founded the thrash metal band Exodus in 1982 along with Metallica's Kirk Hammett and Paul Baloff and he is the main songwriter for Exodus. After Kirk Hammett's departure from Exodus to join Metallica, Gary Holt kept Exodus going and during a lot of years, him and Rick Hunolt were reminded as the Exodus' "H-Team" guitar players. He is the only remaining original member after all of these years.

He has his own signature model guitar with Bernie Rico Jr. guitars (he used Jackson Guitars before).
