Gary Conway is an American actor. He was born Gareth Carmody on February 4, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts.
In the mid-1950s he modeled for various "physique" magazines wearing a "posing strap." He then started acting in low-budget movies such as I Was a Teenage Frankenstein and How to Make a Monster before moving onto better roles in TV on the shows Burke's Law and Land of the Giants.
In August 1974, in a move recalling his "posing strap" days, he posed semi-nude for Playgirl magazine.
He would go on to work as a writer, producer, and director in Hollywood before pursuing a career in winemaking.
