Gary Alexander (born August 15, 1979 in South London) is an English football player, currently playing for Leyton Orient as a central forward. He began his career with West Ham United, but his first taste of senior football came with a very successful loan spell at Exeter City in the 1999/2000 season. He scored 16 goals in 37 league games for the Grecians, and this convinced Swindon Town to sign him for £500,000 In July 2000. His time at Swindon was not a success, though, and he moved to ambitious Hull City a year later. A superb first season saw him score 23 goals, but the following season he was not as prolific, and in January 2003 he moved to Leyton Orient. Although his Orient career started slowly, he has now been a first team regular for some time.
