Garson Mine

Garson Mine is located in the community of Garson, Ontario, which is part of the city of Greater Sudbury, Ontario. Garson mine is currently owned by Inco. Garson Mine is an active producer of nickel.
On August 22nd, 2006, INCO announced that it would spend $30 Million to expand existing facilities at Garson Mine, primarily at the Garson Ramp. It is expected that the Ramp will produce 500 tons of ore per day and contribute almost 20% of INCO's precious metals.

The ground conditions at Garson Mine are notorious for being dangerous and unstable; many workers have lost their lives due to unstable ground conditions at Garson Mine and these conditions continue to be a problem for current operations.
