Garbage Video was a short-form VHS and Video CD release that included all of Garbage's promotional music videos filmed up until that point. It was issued by Almo Sounds and Geffen in North America and by Mushroom Records UK and its affiliates worldwide for the Christmas 1996 market.
It's release was the last major release by either record company to promote parent album Garbage worldwide, which had been certified platinum in many territories around the world by the end of that year.
A follow up release to this video has been planned, and stalled, since Version 2.0's promotional videos had been filmed, however a release containing all of Garbage's videos from 1995 through 2005 is reportedly in the works.
Unlike a number of other music video compilations, Garbage Video has never been re-issued on the DVD format.
