[edit] Hi
I've posted at the talk page of Agrippina (opera). You might want to take a look. Cheers, Moreschi 22:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] El Greco
Thanks for your remarks! I've given some initial answers to your comments and I'll further work on your suggestions. And I accept, of course, your offer for copy-editing!--Yannismarou 20:36, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Agrippina (opera)
Hi,
I'm just looking at GA reviews sort randomly, to see how it is done.
I'm a PhD student, and as such have become certifiably obsessive about citations & references. So take what I say in that context, but.. the refs in Agrippina (opera) look quite unorthodox to me. Most of them are <ref>Dean</ref>. Let's set aside for the moment the idea of having page numbers...which I fully accept are optional under some schemes... shouldn't the very first citation be a named reference that includes the full info about the book, and the following ones have the same name:
blah blah <ref name=Dean">Winton Dean. Humour with Human Commitment: Handel's "Agrippina" (1997). Brief essay to accompany Gardiner recording</ref> blah blah Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit<ref name="Dean" />
Thanks --Ling.Nut 06:14, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, cites are a rather interesting topic. Really, they are different depending upon who is working on the article. Such is the wiki-way as it is...but to answer your question, I think the only reason one would include the whole citation in the first ref would be if you are using a combined Notes/Refs section. I have only recently started heavily using cites and I always list the References separately and simply use the author's name and page number for the cites, regardless of where they occur in the article. Two articles I've worked on recently where this has been done are David Garrick and Samuel Foote. To me, this system makes the most sense. It's too damn difficult to read combined Ref/Notes sections. As for this article, I honestly didn't look too closely at the cites, more at the content. But, I would be interested to hear your take on what you think is best. *Exeunt* Ganymead | Dialogue? 14:35, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

- I don't really grok how wiki handles cites either. Will revisit this topic with you later (see below).
- I apologize. I started this thread, and now must lamely shuffle off to wikibreak 'til dec. 16 or so. If I don't finish my research papers, my goose is cooked.
- 'Til then. --Ling.Nut 21:19, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mount Tambora
Hi, thanks for your comments. I have expanded the article, as it was requested also by another FAC reviewer. Now, the article has the Eruptive History section, which includes what you asked in the FAC. Thanks again. — Indon (reply) — 14:56, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, sorry to bother you again. The article has now 2 more sections: Monitoring and Ecosystem. I hope these two sections would have given the article more angles, as you suggested in the articles' FAC. Cheers. — Indon (reply) — 11:37, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Greek mythology
Most of my rewriting in the article is completed (2 1/2 subsections are left!). I remomber of your offering to copy-edit the text. I thought this was the right moment to politely ask for this copy-editing. Any further feedback contributions etc. are welcome. Thanks!--Yannismarou 20:44, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks for your welcome
I will follow up the useful links you gave on my Talks Page. As yet I've ventured some additions to the one subject I know about (I wrote the articles in the NewDNB) but mainly, and as an ex-sub, I have a reflex reaction when I see minor errors in the articles I'm consulting. Nothing beyond my capabilities as yet and I hope I'll get more adventurous in time. Ioan_Dyfrig 11:47, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

that was nice of you. --Mcginnly | Natter 00:42, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
I hate to see such a brilliant editor get bashed for what amounts to triviality. Indeed, not only him, but Giano and Bish seem to be getting the brunt of it as well. The least I could do is bring the alcohol and try to lift spirits (pun intended). I've noticed you around here quite a bit, you appear to really be making your presence known. I'm always glad to see good level-headed editors join the project. Have a drink on me! Cheers! *Exeunt* Ganymead | Dialogue? 03:41, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Atlanta School of Drama?
I was editing the article on Patrika Darbo and I noticed there was no article on the Atlanta School of Drama, if something even exists by that name. Since you're interested in the evolution of theatre in Georgia, I was wondering if you'd be up to the task. I had a task just recently where I had to write Miami Conservatory because my favorite faux-British soap actress went there. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 01:51, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've lived in Georgia all my life and have never heard of it, but I'll see what I can dig up. *Exeunt* Ganymead | Dialogue? 01:53, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- I just did an inital search and came up with nothing. Are you using the info from IMDB? Generally, IMDB isn't terribly trustworthy, much less so than Wikipedia, certainly. I can tell you that there are some notable university theatre programs there, Kennesaw State University, Emory University and Georgia State University and it's possible she studied at one of these. *Exeunt* Ganymead | Dialogue? 02:01, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- She went to Georgia Southern, and I don't know anything of her going for a master's degree. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 02:14, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'll continue looking around for information, but I doubt if I can't find it in the intial search it's notable to have an article. *Exeunt* Ganymead | Dialogue? 02:29, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] White Deer Hole Creek
Thanks for your support and praise at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/White Deer Hole Creek. I believe I have now addressed all the issues raised. I removed 51 duplicate or non-essential wikilinks from the article and fixed a couple of disambiguation links that had snuck in there along the way. Please let me know if you have any more concerns or suggestions for improvement. Thanks, Ruhrfisch 02:59, 7 December 2006 (UTC) P.S. I like the picture of you as Marley's Ghost (although my favorite is the Ghost of Christmas Present).
- Thanks for the compliment! The article looks great now and lost much of it's blue-ish tint. :-) Congrats on your fine work! *Exeunt* Ganymead | Dialogue? 03:13, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- I tend to edit by section and so certain things get wikilinked in each section. Didn't realize how many duplicate links the article had until I went through it carefully. Thanks again, Ruhrfisch 03:25, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
