Gangota is an economically backward class people residing along the bank of Ganga in the state of Bihar in India.According to Indian mythology they are the descendents of saint Jahanwi.Gangota word has its origin from the word Ganga the sacred river of India.These people are mostly farmers but slowly they are getting educated.
