GANGgajang
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
GANGgajang are an Australian band who formed in 1984. They had their major success in 1985 with the release of their self-titled debut album. The album was notable for the classic single "Sounds of Then (This is Australia)". Commercially, however, the album sold a relatively modest 120,000 copies, and it wasn't until the mid-1990s that the Nine Network revived the song "Sounds of Then" for use in its station ID promotion. Today, GANGgajang are most popular in Brazil, having embarked on 3 national tours there.
The band has most recently appeared on Australian cooking program Fresh in 2004, performing their best-known song "Sounds of Then".
