[edit] Profile
Galaksiafervojo is an internatinal graduate student studying electrical engineering at Oregon State University and suffering from severe basebaholic. The favorite team so far is Seattle but it's nothing to do with the nationality. 3 jerseies and 8 penants are covering up the room's walls. Went crazy when Beavs got the national title in 2006. Loves baseball and old-fashioned hotdogs, not Phillie-stake or pizza-flavored gimmicks like the one at Shea Stadium. Though being a native Japanese, prefers MLB to NPB, Nippon Professonal Baseball, because of the annoying supporters at the ballpark in Japan and, more critically, no availability of hotdogs. Have been to many places around the world, which pictures, hopefully, will be put up here on Wikipedia some day. Have Joined the Baseball Hall of Fame membership since Apr 2006.

[edit] Favorite MLB players
- Brandon McCarthy of Chicago White Sox: he is THE comer. Really nice stuff and control.
- Felix Hernandez of Seattle Mariners: throws really hard and has good stuff, but too many in the early innings. Had better improve his control.
- Todd Helton: not showy but shows rigid bats and power.
- Ichiro Suzuki: a real athlete; runs well, hits steadily, throws really hard.
- David Ortiz: a nice guy! I don't care about his ability but like his character.
[edit] Something to do with MLB
- Tony Gwynn is by far the best line-driver I've ever seen in my life. When it comes to hitting, some want to compare Ichiro with him. But no competition.
- I several times heard that the players coming from Japan say the ball is slippery and the surface is so rough that the breaking ball goes off the course. But Hideo Nomo registered really good record in his first year of MLB, so I'm thinking it's just a darn excuse of sore losers.
- I don't feel all right about the increasing number of 0 on the players' payment. But can understand the competition is unbelievably intensed and the survivers deserves to the triumph.

[edit] My contributions (pictures)
Barry Bonds preparing for the bat. Rumors has it that he will move to one of AL teams because of knee injuries. |
Jason Schmidt. One of the hottest FAs in 2006. Hope he'll join Seattle. |
Hideki Matsui in 2005. With his broken wrist, got to be outside the club for almost whole 2006 season. |
Tony Gwynn. He was the best to hit to everywhere in the field. |
Jamie Moyer. A playing database. |
