Galway East

The Galway East parliamentary constituency spans the entire area of the eastern half of County Galway, taking in the towns of Ballinasloe, Tuam and Loughrea and many other areas. The constituency has an electorate of 73,659 and at present is served by 4 Teachtaí Dála (TDs). The method of election is proportional representation.

One of the most high profile TDs from the constituency is the Minister of State Noel Treacy.
