Gallenkirch is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Aargau. Gallenkirch is five kilometres from downtown Brugg, the district seat. Between 1850 and 1980, the total population sank 40% near the 1700s level. The population in the mid-1990s went back to a level in 1850. 95.9% of the population speak German. The density is 92/km². The municipality is bounded with Unterbözberg in the northeast, Linn to the south and Effingen to the northeast. Gallenkirchen was first mentioned in January 28, 1338.
Gallenkirch has a school, a middle school. The secondary school is in Unterbözberg. The district school is in Brugg.
