Galen Gering (born February 13, 1971 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor and former fashion model who plays the role of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald on the television soap opera Passions.

On the soap, his character, Luis', relationship with Sheridan Crane, played by McKenzie Westmore, is very popular with fans. The couple is considered a supercouple and are sometimes refered as the portmanteau "Shuis."

Gering was born to Alan Gering (a Jewish American) and Michele DeOnate (a Basque immigrant from Spain).

At the age of 18, Gering moved to New York City to start a modeling career and finished high school remotely. He attended New York University for one year before transferring to the University of Miami, where he studied creative writing and film. In May of 1999, Gering graduated from UM, while he was already busy working on Passions.

Galen is married to Jenna Gering. The couple have a son, Dillon Phoenix, born in 2006.
