Galanz

Galanz (Galanz Enterprise Group Co. of Guangdong) is a Chinese company and the largest producer of microwaves in the world. Founded in 1978 by Liang Qingde, Galanz was originally a company that dealt in the trading in duck feathers. In 1993, Galanz made a deal with Toshiba for a limited license on microwave technology. Production started slowly with only ten thousand microwaves produced the first year, but expanded rapidly after that. Currently, Galanz produces over 15 million microwaves a year which is about 40% of the world market and has 600 patents in microwave technology. In addition to microwaves, the company has recently begun producing air conditioners.
