Welcome to the official gakon5 templates page. It's called /Infoboxes since I used it for infobox-type things I while back, and I'ma not gonna make another subpage for now. Feel free to change these templates and stuff! I'm not too good at making decent templates; however easy it is.

Contents

[edit] Kirby series

Kirby series

Main Games
Kirby's Dream Land | Kirby's Dream Land 2 | Kirby's Dream Land 3 | Kirby's Adventure | Kirby Super Star | Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards | Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land | Kirby and the Amazing Mirror | Kirby
Other Games
Kirby's Pinball Land | Kirby's Block Ball | Kirby's Star Stacker | Kirby's Dream Course | Kirby's Avalanche | Kirby Air Ride

This is my Kirby template I've proposed. It's width is currently at 500, although it could be consolidated to 400. The game's are categorized by platformer and non-platformer; although they could also be organised by system; the Dream Land games could also be given their own little section.

[edit] Counter-Strike

Counter-Strike

Games
Source | Condition Zero
Technical
Equipment and weapons | CS Terms | Broken Arms Gordon
Culture
Cheating | E-Sports
Maps
de_dust | de_dust2 | cs_office

Recently there has been a suggestion at Talk:Counter-Strike to split up the article Counter-Strike into multiple sub-pages, in order to decrease it's massive size. This could be used as a navigational aid of sorts, in order to link all of the Counter-Strike articles together. Doesn't look too good, although maybe having an image at the top of the box, sort of like on Template:WikipediaFAQ would be a nice touch. E-Sports doesn't exsist yet, as it's red, but it's a planned branch of the "Professional Counter-Strike" section in the main CS article; it basically discusses things like CS tourneys, etc.

[edit] Nintendo Wars

A template to bind all of the Nintendo Wars games together; or maybe a template for just the Advance Wars games [1] [2] [3] Either way, here's what it might quite possibly look like:

  • Complete Famicom/Advance Wars
Nintendo Wars
Games
Famicom Wars | Super Famicom Wars | Game Boy Wars | Game Boy Wars 2 | Game Boy Wars 3
Advance Wars
Games
Advance Wars | Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising | Advance Wars: Dual Strike
COs
All COs | Lord Sturm | Flak | Lash | Adder | Hachi
Gameplay
Units in Advance Wars
  • Advance Wars only
Advance Wars
Games
Advance Wars | Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising | Advance Wars: Dual Strike
COs
All COs | Lord Sturm | Flak | Lash | Adder | Hachi

[edit] List of Mario games

This is a template proposal for List of Mario games. In many ways it's similar to Template:FFtitlebox, which is being used in List of Final Fantasy titles, although this one gives a brief summary of each game as well; in addition to release date, box art, etc. This example is applied to Super Mario Bros.; also, the description could be an excerpt from an article; it should do what a lead section does, which is summarize the topic is one or more paragraphs (in this case one).

Super Mario Bros.

Release dates:
North America: October 1, 1985
Japan: September 13, 1985
Europe: 1987
System(s): NES, Super NES, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance
Super Mario Bros. is a video game produced by Nintendo in 1985. Universally considered a classic of the medium, Super Mario Bros. was one of the first side-scrolling platform games of its kind, introducing players to huge, bright, expansive worlds that changed the way video games were created.

SMB has been ported to several other consoles. An enhanced remake of the game was included in Super Mario All-Stars; the Game Boy Color and Advance also received ports of it, both part of the Super Mario remake series.

Super Mario Strikers

Release dates:
North America: December 5, 2005
Japan: TBA
Europe: November 18, 2005
System(s): Gamecube
Super Mario Strikers (Mario Smash Football in Europe) is a soccer video game being developed exclusively for Nintendo's GameCube console. It is currently being developed by Next Level Games and will be published by Nintendo for release in Europe and North America by the end of 2005; a Japanese release was announced, but has no confirmed date. The game will be created in the vein of other Mario sports games such as Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, and the more recent Mario Superstar Baseball.

[edit] Console infobox

Find the proposal at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Computer and video games (it's far down the list). The proposal is to make a new infobox for WP:CVG that details all of the major video game consoles... NES, Xbox, '2600, etc... So! Here's a design I made. It looks like the CVG and AG infoboxes, because I C+P'd the code onto here. Although, I'd like to make it a different color if the proposal comes through...

[edit] Workshop

Some templates for User:Jacoplane/Workshop, the new CVG Workshop proposal. I got bored.

  • Used the colors from {{User WPCVG}} for whatever reason. Maybe 'cuz I like them or something. Oh, and the second one is standard Talk page-style template colors. I'll maybe get back to this later, I gotta beat Call of Duty... two.

[edit] TS

Right now I'm working on a proposal for Wikipedia:Template standardisation/article. Eh, I'll probably end up not finishing it, but if I do (and I think it's halfway decent) I'll put it up on that page maybe.

[edit] Maintenance tags

Maintenance:
Wikification
Maintenance:
Cleanup
  • Location: Top of article/section; right aligned
  • Style: (1) Small gray box (15% width) with a 50px icon and the text Maintenance: Foo beside it.
  • Style: (2) Smaller gray box (10% width) with a 30px icon and the text Maintenance: Foo beside it.
  • Timeframe: Until the issues in question are fixed

Maintenance tags are small template boxes that inform editors of certain cleanup-related tags. These are mostly non-content related things, such as wikification, or copyediting. The tags appear at the start of an article or section to the left in a gray color with a picture of a screwdriver and wrench.

Maintenance tags would include:

  • General cleanup
  • Wikification
  • Categorization
  • De-redlinking
  • Sectioning
  • Copyediting
  • And probably others. Bigger things would merit more visible templates.

[edit] Stubs

These stubs are in box form. Every stub template would have a 48px image as well as the standard "This article is a blah blah by expanding it" text. Also, the box is left aligned, like current stubs.

  • Location: End of article, as usual.
  • Style: Box template; 48px image; text is "This article about something is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it".
  • Timeframe: Until article is no longer a stub.
This article is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.

This article about a computer or video game is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it

This article about a band is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.

Of course, if may also be better just to keep it regular style.

[edit] POV

These templates relate to POV disputes. The colors are the same as {{POV}}; the light red color.

  • Article tag: (this one would be centered)
This article may not be written from a neutral point of view.

See discussion regarding this dispute on the talk page.

  • Section tag:
POV dispute - see talk page.

  • Paragraph tag:

Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit ( disputed - see talk page) esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.

[edit] Deletion

The deletion tags would all look about the same, but with slight color differences to show immediately what the status of the article is.

  • Location: Top of page, centered
  • Style: similar colors, although there is a strip of color along the left side of the box. The color depends on the situation.
  • In Afd: Red
  • Speedy: Blue
  • Hangon: Green
  • Timeframe: Until the deletion stuff is resolved.
