[edit] Region information
==Region==
Despite having different covers when sold in the US and Japan. The game was essentially the same in both regions. If the cartridge detection process of the game was to recognize Mega Drive PAL hardware, the story introduction and ending would all be in Japanese. Vice versa NTSC hardware would display English.
1st: The Mega Drive/Genesis has 2 selectors, language (jap/eng) and frequency (50/60 Hz). That results in:
-
- jap + 60 Hz = Japan, NTSC
- eng + 60 Hz = North America, NTSC
- eng + 50 Hz = PAL areas (Europe, Austalasia, ...)
- jap + 50 Hz = not defined
2nd: Is that information really encyclopedic? --32X 08:42, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
