Gahanbar

Gahanbar are the festivals of the ancient Avesta calendar celebrated by the Parsees at six seasons of the year which correspond with the six periods of creation:
- Maidhyozaremaya (mid spring)
- Maidhyoshema (midsummer)
- Paitishahya (season of corn)
- A yathrema (season of flocks)
- Maidhyarya (winter solstice)
- Hamaspathmacdha (festival of sacrifices).
