Gablias (ガブリアス Gablias?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri.

[edit] Characteristics

Gablias is a shark-like dragon, which is evolved from Gabite. It is large in appearance, with a large fin on its back and a long tail. Its hands are just claws. Two fins are attached along Gablias' arms from its elbows to its wrists. Gablias has spikes on its arms and on its legs. It has two jet-like helmets beside its head resembling that of a hammerhead, and its chest is red. It looks like a cross between Grovyle and Sharpedo. The female version of Gablias has a full big fin on its back, with the male version having a piece missing.

[edit] In the video games

Gablias is evolved from Gabite.

Gablias is a Dragon-type Pokémon primarily, but with the Ground-type combination, it is especially vulnerable to Ice-type and invulnerable to Electric-type. Its Dragon-type nullifies the weaknesses of Ground-types to Water-type and Grass-type attacks.

Gablias is a good Pokémon if it is valued by its stats, but it is a weak Pokémon too, due to the common use of Ice Beam and similar Ice-type attacks (a weakness shared by most dragon types).

Gablias is the fourth-generation counterpart to Dragonite, Tyranitar and Salamence, because of its high base stat total of 600, and its slow growth rates and high evolution levels.
