Talk:G-men (magazine)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gay magazines in Japan, along with much gay culture, are segregated by 'type'; most are aimed at an audience with specific interests.

How specific to gay culture is market segmentation, particularly in the magazine publishing industry? Esquire doesn't aim at a readership encompassing all straight men. It focuses on a niche market of well-educated, well-compensated, fashion-conscious urban professionals. Loaded or FHM aim at a more "laddish" guy, a reader less troubled by cultural issues or politics than trends in female swimwear.

G-men is a magazine aimed at Japan's burgeoning Bear culture. I think saying that is enough.
