Gülşen Degener

Gülşen Degener is a female Turkish professional billards player.

She was born in the southeastern city of Şanlıurfa in Turkey. Gülşen Degener began playing billiards as she was at Uludağ University in Bursa, Turkey, studying English philology and literature. She is playng billiards since 10 years, the last 4 years professionally. After mastering the straight-rail billiards, she switched over to three cushion billiards, a more difficult variety.

In the mid 1990’s, Gülşen moved to Berlin, Germany. In 1999, she was transferred by Tabara, a leading ladies team in the first division of the Netherlands. Since the season 2002/2003, she competed in the second league of Germany for the team BSG Duisburg, before she joined the club Centro Norton de Matos to play in the 2005/2006 season in the first league of Portugal.

Living currently in Germany, Gülşen Degener is married and has a child.
