Gómez Palacio

Gómez Palacio is a city in Durango, Mexico, located at 25.57°N, 103.50°W. The city is named in honor of former Durango governor Francisco Gómez Palacio y Bravo.

In 2003 the estimated population of Gómez Palacio was about 300,000 people.

Houston Colt stadium was dismantled in the 1970s and moved to Gomez Palacio where it became home to a Mexican League baseball team.
