Fuzön is a Pakistani rock band comprising three members. Fuzön is also spelled as Fuzon for the convenience of typing on standard keyboard. It's name has been derived from fusion as the vocalist Shafqat Amanat Ali describes the band as a fusion of Pakistani classical music and modern rock music.

The Fuzon art insists on setting feelings above mere technique; and secondly individualistic genere of mould breaking music, something which is scarce in the Pakistani musicdome. Above everything else Fuzon is stylistically different. Born out of diversewestern pop/rock and eastern classical influences, Fuzon started to enroll its impeccable music in 2001. The trio, masterminded by studio sessionist Immu, Shallum and vocal exponent Shafqat, rediscovered its credentials as a serious cutting-edge band, animatedly fusing deeply meditative ragas with rock and jazz. Later the studio chemistry worked wonders for the fuzoneers.

A brand new form of music entered which encompassed hybrid styles of exquisite melodies and everlasting pop/rock instrumentation, hence carving out a special niche for the threesome. The three seasoned collaborators of the band consider their debut album as a labor of love as well as a message of hope to all. Fuzon has embarked on a journey to stardom ... its story has just begun.

[edit] History

Fuzön began in 2001. Shallum Asher Xavier and Imran Momina were the founding members, who decided to put their heads together as they realised that their musical ideas and tastes were pretty much the same. After sometime, they developed many track however, the only thing lacking was a quality vocalist who would sing for them.

Meanwhile, Shafqat Amanat Ali who had been singing for a few years had happened to drop into Immo's recording studio for an assignment. Shafquat's vocals impressed the duo, that Shafqat was signed up with Shallum and Immu to form the band, "Fuzon".

[edit] Imran Momina (aka "Immu")

Immu is a multi-dimensional pianist, who had been playing since the age of 13. His flair for arranging his own music and experimenting with melodies made him set up his own little recording and mixing studio — and this is were the jam sessions took place. Technically proficient, self-tutored Fuzoneer, Imran has a universe of possibilities at his disposal. Imran aka 'Immu' is a charismatic keyboard exponent. Immu is a fine studio tactician whose feeling-based work has been making sweeping statements for over a decade. The music stalwart that he is, Immu has an uncanny knack for orchestrating memorable music which is dominant in Fuzon's gilt-edged tracks. Immu's immaculate and unparalleled keyboard maneuvers on one hand impart euphoric essence to thie 24 Karact gold debut album 'Sagar', and on the other his artistry is what makes the band tick.

[edit] Shallum Asher Xavier

Shallum is fortunate to have music running in his family. Having started to play the piano from the age of nine, he shifted tracks and began `worshipping' the guitar, by practicing for eight hours a day for three whole days. Playing for quite a few local pop acts has brought him to the limelight, and he is now getting recognition for his talent. Shallum, the guitar guru harbours the kind of passion that sets him apart from guitar gods pack. His six-string work encompasses tones in the direction of blues, rock, jazz, classical and everything in between. All his influences are focused towards creation of exhilirating, infectious but most of all moving slip-stream music. Shallum is undoubtably a studio artist of first water. His art on the debut album dazzles in sonic inventiveness.

[edit] Shafqat Amanat Ali

The vocalist Shafquat has a strong foundation in eastern classical music. But during his college days, he was exposed to rock, jazz and blues, and ended up fusing these genres and singing them. Most of the songs in the album reflect this unique ability of his to blend the tunes of the sub-continent in a Western style of rendering. Gifted beyond belief Shafqat Amanat Ali has redefined the possibilities of interpreting and presenting eastern classical music. A singer par excellence and he has vocals tapping into music's deepest potential. Hailing from the famous "Patyala Gharana", this offspring of the illustrious maestro, Ustad Amanat Ali Kha (late) possesses immense improvisational skills. His commitment to Fuzon is classical-pop at its dreamiest.

but he must have some other kinds of music asa did his parents classical songs are greatly demanded by fusion but he is not giving much attention to this.
