Note about the French language being dead in the Linguistics section, when it's written, I was just watching A Fishful of Dollars, and there was a building that was called "Le Spa".

I did a few translation checks (even though it's obviously the spa, but just because my foreign language skills aren't the best) and it could be...Italian! My Spanish translation meant "him spa," doh! Hehe. Missvain 16:31, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

More significant than 'Le Spa' is Bender speaking French while impersonating Napolean in Insane in the Mainframe, perhaps it could be mentioned that "Though French is shown in multiple episodes to be a dead language it is still occasionally used by some characters", or something... To my mind, the entire question of whether French is a dead language seems largely irrelevant to the encyclopedia entry. Especially in light of the fact that there are more examples of French being used than being referred to as "dead". If we're using the implication to say that French people no longer exist (which is to say, Wikipedia's definition of dead language), it doesn't have to do with linguistics so much as the state of Earth (if, indeed, it matters enough to include it). But, mainly, I don't see how we can use two episodes to "prove" that French is a dead language in the future, but then cite three examples of exceptions. It seems like an extremely questionable "fact" (or, rather, a "fact" which is really a joke). When people look into linguistics of Futurama, it seems to me that they're mainly interested in the alien languages which were specifically created for the television show and are unique to it, not a few throwaway jokes which may or may not be canon but are never major plot points. The source information is supposed to be something like "TV screenshot" or "DVD rip", just stating the episode it's from isn't good enough. That's why it needs to be retaken. --LorianTC 13:11, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

In the DVD movies section it says about an article from The Onion, but The Onion is a parody newspaper, wouldn't that make the news false?

I restored the original citations for the awards section per the style found on Wikipedia:Footnotes. I also removed the headers for the wins and nominations sections for two reasons: first, citing a header causes formatting problems, and it saves room on the crowded TOC. Go for it! I have no objections whatsoever to your suggestion, since it would just be simply be adding the names of the winning episodes/writers to the awards. Try out both fonts and see how it turns out. It would be nice for readers to be able to see which episode won which award. Nic tan33 06:48, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Use the small font though, use span style instead of small, the small tag is deprecated. Use &mdash; aswell, instead of hypens. Quotes should be used around episode names as well, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles):

We got rid of the article (well, moved it) but we still have a talk page. I can understand preserving the conversation but is there a way to merge just the talk pages (I have no idea how the merging thing works) I wouldn't think it would be a problem... Stardust8212 17:08, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering why this page was deleted/moved, was there a discussion about merging/moving it, or did someone just do it? I thought this article was being used to make a better version of Futurama, but it was deleted/moved before completion.
