Futureboogie

Futureboogie a term coined by United Kingdom DJ and designer Pieman to describe a certain type of music of a forward-thinking nature. Futureboogie music is generally upbeat, uplifting and exciting, with a contemporary sound which is only made possible through the use of modern studio technology.
Many artists from many different genres can and do produce music which falls under the umbrella-like term of Futureboogie - particularly those most commonly associated with Broken Beat, House, Techno, Hip Hop and Electro. In this respect it is a flexible, yet evocative term - a descriptive tool which celebrates the similarities between certain artists, labels and releases rather than a firm definition which draws lines between artists, labels or releases.
