List of Errors
1. Barrett XM107 segment
The XM107 is repeatedly referred to as a "sniper rifle." This term is convenient for an audience uneducated on the subject but, it is inaccurate as the XM107 is defined as an anti-material weapon by United States Army's Special Operations Target Interdiction Course. The XM107 is under most circumstances unsuited to actual sniper operations.
During the segment about the XM107 Machowicz incorrectly refers to the .308 round as being "the standard round for the AK-47." The term .308 is the United States standard measurement for the 7.62mm round. The AK-47 is chambered for the 7.62x39mm (or .311) round.
During the segment about the XM107 Machowicz states that using a standard bolt action sniper rifle it could take between "15 to 20 seconds" to extract a fired case and chamber a new round for firing. Follow up shot drills conducted by both the United States Army and United States Marine Corps regularly have snipers fire and chamber a follow up shot in under two seconds.
