Mad Max 4: Fury Road
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mad Max 4: Fury Road was originally intended be the fourth of the Mad Max movies. Although the project was given the green light for a $100 million USD budget, Fury Road has been in hiatus apparently due to security concerns related to trying to film in Africa while the United States and many other countries have tightened travel and shipping restrictions.
Despite these restrictions, it is believed to be in pre-production currently [citation needed].
Mel Gibson said that he does not wish to work on a "Mad Max" film, not because he doesn't like the series, but because he doesn't consider himself physically able to play Max anymore. He even joked, saying that the movie would be called "Fat Max". As recently as November, 2006, George Miller stated that he still has full intentions to make another Mad Max, telling the press that he’s considering doing the film without Gibson, saying, “There's a real hope. The last thing I wanted to do is another Mad Max, but this script came along, and I'm completely carried away with it."[1]
There have been rumours prominent on the Internet for years about a possible plot. Ideas range from taking place after Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome to a prequel, telling the story of the Main Force Patrol, which existed prior to the original film, Mad Max.
