Funebre were a death metal band formed in Turku, Finland in 1988. They released two demos, a 7" EP and a full-length studio album before disbanding in 1991. They were one of the first Finnish death metal bands together with Abhorrence and influenced such bands as Amorphis, Demigod, Demilich and Sentenced. Xtreem Music re-released the band's long out of print 1991 LP Children of the Scorn, often considered a classic of the early Scandinavian death metal scene [1], in 2004. The album was originally released by Spinefarm Records.
