Fumi Yoshinaga

Fumi Yoshinaga (よしながふみ YOSHINAGA Fumi, born 1971 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese shōjo and boys' love mangaka. She debuted in 1994 with Tsuki to sandaru, serialized in Hanaoto magazine. Of Yoshinaga's many works, several have been licensed for release in the US, the most recent, official license being Ichigenme wa yaruki no minpou, which was announced as one of 801 Media, Inc.'s charter titles at YaoiCon '06. In December 2006, two unannounced licenses were publicized by The Fumi Yoshinaga Resource Index: Ai towa yoru ni kidzuku mono and Hontou ni, yasashii, with the licensor of these titles TK.

  • Ōoku (大奥) won a special prize at The Japanese Association of Feminist Science Fiction and Fantasy's fifth annual Sense of Gender awards in 2005.
  • Antique Bakery (西洋骨董洋菓子店) was the winner of the 26th annual Kōdansha manga shō (講談社漫画賞), aka. Kodansha Manga Award, in the shōjo manga category for 2002.

  • Yoshinaga was selected and exhibited as one of the "Twenty Major Mangaka Who Contributed to the World of Shojo Manga (World War II to Present)" for Professor Masami Toku's exhibition, "Shojo Manga: Girl Power!" at CSU-Chico.
