"I don't understand the Wikipedia bashing. Before/without Wikipedia, you wanted to find information on Bob Dylan. You did a google/yahoo search on it, got 1 million hits, clicked on one of the first ones. It was a fan page. You hoped whatever was on there was accurate. With Wikipedia, you find a lengthy, highly informative article, with links to related topics, and which lists about 100 sources, books, magazines, respected websites, etc. The main criticism seems to be, "Wikipedia also has poorly written articles on stupid obscure topics no one cares about". Is anyone forcing you to read those? Wikipedia may find a solution to the bad articles in time, right now they're an unavoidable result of the overall process. Wikipedia is expanding exponentially, doubling in size every year or so, you can't expect perfection during the middle of this."
