Correction

1. The picture for this article does not show full contact Karate but Olympic style Tai Kwoon Do.

2."The blows are delivered with full contact, although heavy padding is often worn and in some cases body armour is also worn" - This describes Korean Tai Kwon Do original full contact styles like Kyokushin Karate spar with limited or no protective gear. This article needs to be reworked.

[edit] elbows not allowed in kyokushinkai and similar associations

Hi, having been involved in kyokushin in japan, my recollection is that strikes with elbows were not allowed. Has the situation recently changed? If not, then the article needs to be corrected.The Kasparov of Sheshbesh 08:47, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
