Full gainer

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A gainer is an acrobatic move, typically performed from a diving board into water. A full gainer is a complete backflip that is completed while moving forward. A diver would jump off the board in the forward position, rotate his or her legs backwards and flip over.

A half gainer involves the same motion, except the ending position is with the head downward. Unlike full gainers, half gainers are only performed by divers, as landing on one's head on solid ground can be fatal.
