Fueled by Ramen is an independent record label started by John Janick and Vinnie Fiorello (drummer and lyricist of Less Than Jake) in August of 1996 in Gainesville, Florida.[1] Peter Wentz, the bassist of Fall Out Boy, started his own record label, Decaydance Records, as an imprint of the Fueled by Ramen label in 2005. Since its inception, FBR has released over 90 different albums, including Panic! at the Disco's A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, and has grown from two to over fifteen employees.[1]

The label's name is a reference to the food, Ramen.

Fueled by Ramen moved to Tampa, Florida in the latter half of 2004.[1]
