Fuego is a super villain in the Marvel Comics Universe, most notably as a member of the Children of the Vault.

[edit] Biography

A powerful member of the Children, Fuego possesses the ability to create and manipulate fire. He, alongside Aguja, battled Sabretooth, but unfortunately attacked too recklessly, allowing for Sabretooth to escape. He also participated on the attack of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s facility, delighting in burning his victims. However, he was kept back from an initial attack on the Xavier Institute, but patiently waited back on their floating this, the Conquistador, which was headed for the Institute as well, with plans to destroy should the initial attack fail. When the air force showed up, he and Aguja made a little game of shooting them out of the sky so easily. When the X-Men finally brought the battle to the Children's base, the mysterious group easily subdued the mutants, with Fuego even absorbing Iceman's energy, vaporizing him. When the X-Men fought back and foiled their plans, Fuego was killed when Iceman pulled himself back together and completely froze the fiery enemy solid.

[edit] Notes

  • Fuego is Spanish for "Fire."
  • Fuego closely resembles another X-Men villain, Fever Pitch.
