Fucus spiralis is a species of seaweed, a brown alga, living on the littoral shore of the Atlantic coasts of Europe and North America. It has the common name of Spiral Wrack. It is similar to Fucus vesiculosus and Fucus serratus the other common species of Fucus on the coasts of Europe. Fucus spiralis, Fucus vesiculosus and Fucus serratus form the main and dominant seaweeds on rocky shores of the British Isles. These three species, along with two others, form a series of zones along the shore. The other two species are Pelvetia canaliculata and Ascophyllum nodosum.
