[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MyFrostzone

MyFrostzone has been nominated for deletion. Please contribute to the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MyFrostzone. You might like to review WP:NOT to see why Wikipedia rejects certain articles. NickelShoe 19:52, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

NickeShoe beat me to it but since I had it all nicely typed up and everything: Hi there. The article MyFrostzone has been tagged for deletion, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (also see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues I've raised on the article's AfD page. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:MyFrostzoneLogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:MyFrostzoneLogo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 18:19, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia as we drive for print or DVD publication; see the welcome page to learn more. Thanks. [edit] Frostzone

Frostzone has been proposed for deletion. Please review WP:CORP. Because there are zillions of businesses in the world, Wikipedia simply cannot have articles on every one of them. It is especially important that the information be verifiable, because readers trust us. Please try to improve the article to meet these standards. NickelShoe 01:47, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding commercial links to Wikipedia, as you did in Blog. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Gwernol 17:54, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

Please do not insert links to your website, or websites you are associated with, into Wikipedia. This is considered spamming and vandalism, and can lead to your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Just zis Guy you know? 17:56, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gwernol 18:48, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

I did what hundreds of articles have already done on wikipedia as far as inserting links to my site. Infact I studied an article about blogger to get a format on what the rules are. Perhaps I don't get something here but at this point I can care less what is done. Please explain to me the type of logic behind disallowing me to do what thousands of others have done. --Frostzone 19:08, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

The site was deleted by consensus of the community in the discussion here. You knew about this since you participated in the debate. Your recreation of the article was [{WP:CSD|speedily deleted]] because of that. You have also been promoting this site at other articles such as Blog. The primary difference between Blogger and Frostzone is that Blogger is a very notable blogging service that has had widespread media coverage. This means there are [{WP:RS|reliable sources]] allowing the information in the article to be [{WP:V|verified]]. because Frostzone is much less well known it doesn't apparently have any independent sources for the article. Verifiability is one of the core, non-negotiable policies of Wikipedia. If the information you provide can't be verified it cannot be included in Wikipedia. Gwernol 19:50, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
