Frisco Liberty High School

Liberty High School is a high school located in Frisco, Texas, part of the Frisco Independent School District. Liberty opened for the first time to students on August 14, 2006.
The school's mascot is the red hawk, and its colors are red, black and silver.
Liberty High School is currently composed of only 9th and 10th grade students, but will expand to include 11th grade students in the 2007-08 school year, and 12th grade students in 2008-09. Liberty is currently housed at a temporary location at the site of the future Fowler Middle School. The permanent Liberty campus is currently under construction in East Frisco and is expected to be complete in time for the 2007-08 school year. It is a great school, full of great students and teachers. The principal, Mr.Waldrip, is the best one out there and the new building will be way better than any other high school, including Centennial and Wakeland. The student congress plays a major role in making new traditions at this new high school. The Fortcoming dance was a success, and many attended this amazing or as some refered to it as a "crunk" party.
Liberty high school's RedHawk marching band had a very successful '06 marchng season. comprised of approximately 50 students, with a 7 person drumline, and a two person mellaphone section, they the unthinkable for a small first year marching band. In Frisco march of Champions Mrching competition, hosted by Frisco High School, they placed 10 out of 24 in the preliminary competition. While placing in the top ten, they hoped to secure at least eigth place in finals. Overall, they placed 6th, jumping ahead four places. At Denton high schools competition, the Golden Triangle Classic, they competed in the preliminary competition, and placed 10th out of 22 bands. They were they only 1A school to secure a spot in finals, however, with best in class, best percussion, and outstanding visual. While they came out 10th over all, they were grateful to make it finals. At UIL competition in Carrolton, they got a division 1 rating (the best) and went on the next weekend to UIL Area competition. At area, they made it to finals, and from there placed 10th over all in the area. (top 5 made it to state. The Redhawk Marching band would like to thanks their directors, Jared Abbshire, Alyson Keller-Villareall, percussion director Juan Arenas, and colorguard instructor Chris Meadows. They would also like to thank the Pit crew, the band parents, the band boosters, and their parents. Within the band, we would like to thank section leaders, Shelby (woodwinds), Ben (brass), and Hilary (percussion). Our drum majors, Andrea and Megan. And our soloists: Nathan R., Kelsey, and Sam J.
